Who really is surprised about today? This is so predictable that it doesnt qualify as a ‘shock / giant killing’to anyone who has seen us in the last 2 years under Roberto especially in cup games
I know this board is populated with lots of individuals who instantly categorise Martinez criticisers as ‘darkside followers’ but the reality is that any rational analysis of his ‘reign’ can only highlight that he has taken us nowhere and that he is delusional in his analysis of our progress and our performance levels…the stats (and there are loads) just dont lie.
I look forward to his normal post match delusional ramblings peppered with the usual ‘proud’ ‘brave’ ‘underserved”performance is important not results’idiocy that does him no favours…..
I think our style of play is also far too predictable. We must be the easiest team for any opposition to plan their defence / game strategy against. It’s always tip tap tip ( then we bloody lose the ball at that ), let’s grow into the game. How about taking a game by the scruff of the neck and getting stuck in at 100 mph. This must be tactically, the most boring Latics team ever !!!

Correct LHL, we are dull and boring to watch, can’t score and can’t defend.
If we tip tapped the ball around and retained it for 90 minutes we would get 38 points from 38 draws it might be enough to stay up.Loudmouth is right, there is something seriously wrong at the core of our club and it needs addressing immediately.
