Will he be worth that come the summer?
27 January 2012 at 10:06 pm #79565Will he be worth that come the summer? We’ll get nowt in Summer his contracts up.
27 January 2012 at 10:44 pm #79568I reckon nobody will pay that for him – in fact the other clubs at the wrong end of the table will be hoping that he stays at the DW, because he sure as hell aint going to single-handedly keep Wigan up, like N’zog did.

Hugo is still our best chance of a goal.
28 January 2012 at 1:09 am #79581Thing is in the end at Stoke, it wasn’t his goal that kept us up anyway. We only needed a draw to get the 40 points.
I know what your saying though and i’d agree if he had a partner up front but on himself he doesn’t hack it in my opinion.
Think about £3 to £4 million would be tidy business considering we originally paid not much more than that for his services.
28 January 2012 at 1:27 am #79582Remember Stoke????Hugo is still our best chance of a goal.
I remember West Ham! If N’zog hadnt won that game on his own, Stoke would have been irrelevent.
Its no co-incidence that as soon as the most creative midfield player ever to wear the shirt leaves the DW, the goals dry up for Rodellega.
28 January 2012 at 2:16 am #79583‘Most creative player ever to wear the shirt”. Hang on a minute! He had a good few games last year but went missing plenty of times. He aint in the same league as Antonio Valencia which is why The Zog is now struggling at Villa and AV shines in one of the best sides in the world.
28 January 2012 at 2:33 am #79584He should be renamed Hugo Roddelazy this year and any money above 4 million is fantastic business for him without a doubt.
QPR are starting to get up my nose big time   -who the flying f@@@ are they??????????
A little half @rsed club that have massive delusions of grandeur and im sure will be the next Pompey.
16000 gates and the media crawls all over them, a ground that looks like it was knocked together by Fisher Price and a board that s@cks a manager that has brought them brilliant success :huh:28 January 2012 at 11:26 am #79592Remember Stoke????

So it’s Hugo’s fault that Bob sold our most creative player and repalced him with Gomez???
No wonder we couldn’t hit a barn door.

no but its hugos fault that he a lazy two hat. his movement off the ball is pathetic at times thats why he hasnt scored. i wud rip their hands of for six million. if it wud get reinvested. if it doesnt get reinvested i may join the whealan out club because we will be doomed

How many strikers has Bob tried in his time with us??? it’s no coincedence that none of them have ever scored goals. Anyway back to topic £6m for a player in the last year of his contract is good money but if we sell we need another striker as Sammon and Di Santo
28 January 2012 at 4:02 pm #79606My opinion?
I am on the side of getting as much as we can for him before Tuesday (regardless)because:
a). We cannot afford to lose him for nothing in the Summer.
b). There is no b).
However, if anyone within earshot, boo’s him when he next turns out for us will get feckin short shrift from yours truly. Whatever the views of some of the posters here – Hugo has been a great servant to the club; has scored some cracking, and important, goals; is our top scorer in the Premier League and has never upset the ‘Latics Family’ apple-cart.
It is unfortunate the method in which we found out about the news, however, the lad wants to move on, we want some dosh for him, and he needs our support on the field.
I for one will be giving him his customary “Hugo, Hugo, Hugo” chant when I next see him.

If ever anyone has hit the nail head with a hammer on this board in a more direct way than this post I never saw it.
28 January 2012 at 8:40 pm #79619It aint rocket science but if Uncle Dave is demanding £6m knowing he will go for nowt come Summer then I would like to recommend a Rorschach test for him forthwith !!
