Debatable
It certainly didn’t take him long to catch the “switch off at the back” bug from the rest of our back line1 February 2012 at 1:11 pm #80095To the club that will play you out of position !!! FFS !!!!

You really cannot stand ANYTHING even remotely positive about the club being written can you?1 February 2012 at 1:28 pm #80096No, of course I can’t. In reality, I hate the club & am desperate to see it fail. I’ve followed them for 25 years & these last 8 or 9 years of success have been horrendous for me
In future please PM me to tell me when & which posts I can respond to without offending your sensibilities
This is a forum for people to post their views about Wigan Athletic whether they be good or bad and for people to agree or disagree with them as they see fit.
On the new signing I saw some alright things from him, nothing great & one horrendous mistake which cost us a goal & I made a light hearted reference to him soon adapting to the Wigan way of defending.Get off your high horse & learn to deal with the fact that if people think something/some player has been poor they are as entitled to say it as you are entitled to say Bobby’s doing a great job coz there’s some Wigan lads in the youth team
1 February 2012 at 1:53 pm #80098I thought he had a more than decent game last night, had Spurs gone down to ten men, the result could have been very different, unfortunately the ref bottled it and we lose again.
It would be nice to beat Everton and Bolton, having six points in the bag would bring a bit more belief to the squad and hopefully the fans…. lets get behind them anyway, they can’t be too up beat after reading this forum sometimes (and they do read it)
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

We are now 1/7 with the bookies and 6/4 to conceded the most goals. My point being , you never see a bookie shopping in Lidl.
1 February 2012 at 2:14 pm #80103Are we talking about the challenge from the bloke with the big hair that should have been a sending off??
If so then to be fair to the ref he would expect in that position for his liner to be making them calls (my brief to assistants is anything in that area from the touchline to the edge of the area all along your half of the pitch are yours to lead with) so he wasn’t as close to play as he would have been had the challenge been on the same side at the other end of the pitch where there was no liner. His view of the challenge wouldn’t have given him a clear enough view of what the defender did to be able to make any call. So i don’t think he bottled it
His assistant however was staring straight at it & I can only assume (as the defender had his back to him) that his view was obscured too. I can’t imagine that they’ll both say to their assessor & in the match report that they saw it & didn’t even deem it worthy of a free kick.
Whether at 3-0 down sending him off would have changed the outcome of the game I’m not sure but from the extended highlights it certainly looked like Latics finished marginally the stronger of the 2 sides

Well to me and factually his last 2 managers he has strictly been a winger and not a bad one from what I have seen ! In Bob’s hazy little World he may be a wing back but in the real World he is a winger ! Time will tell but I am willing to wager you a tenner that this latest out of the box ( Literally ) gamble will fail ! By the way Griff did you fully fund the whole of your Whitehart Lane experience ? If so I doff my cap to you ;)

Is that a veiled threat Tyldesley? Please feel free to PM if it will help, as my one line comment has clearly got your back up.
You may have been watching them for 25 years – I never had you down as a JCL (** maybe?) – but there’s no denying that you have come onto the board this morning with the sole intention of being negative.
Prior to my response, you posted four times, and each one was au contraire to anything even remotely positive, or which went against the general malaise within this forum’s members at present.
I’d hazard a guess that I would have to trawl back some way before finding anything that differs from this trend.
No, the new singing may not have been brilliant last night, but he was one of the best of a band bunch – or so I’m lead to believe by several people who watched the game, as I admit I haven’t seen it – have you?
So, in response, no, I will not get off any sort of a horse. You dismissed one of my posts earlier as mere conjecture, and to which I responded somewhat sternly, but not with offers to PM me.
I have submitted a one line response to your post, and you have replied as above, and have felt the need to also edit one of your earlier posts to have a little sideswipe.
If we’re talking horse heights, mine is a Shetland compared to yours.

Players Google their own names. Basically they’re kids, and if you were in their position at that age, wouldn’t you do it to find out what the supporters were saying about you?
