The Walk & Emma Hoolin Update

Just to give you all a quick up date on the walk and Emma

Emma – the original target was the minimum that was required, why they set targets not sure really, every child thats gone through this treatment has cost way more than the original, but I supose its something to do with the legal side of things

Speaking to Emma’s mum and uncle they reckon that the total cost will be somewhere in teh region of £350k – £360k, they have currently raised £305,000

Any monies that they raise over and above go into the pot to help the next youngster that needs help

Emma’s treatment is in 5 parts, she’s had the first two, but its made her quite ill, she suffered kidney failure after one bout, evry day that she spends in high dependency in the US costs an extra £10k, you can see it quickly racks up, she is expected to be there until May

I am aiming for the walk to raise a minimum of £20,000, hoping for double that in all honesty

The walk – So far there are nearly 300 signed up and I personally know at least 50 people, family/mates/workmates who are coming that havent signed up so God only knows how many will come on the day!

The Liberty Girls Brass band will be playing at the DW from 10am, Sky Sports and Grananda TV are coming down, there are loads donning fancy dress but thats personal if you want

Pies & soup provided free at New Springs ex-servicemens club Cale Lane, beer available there too

This will be a buzzing event something to be proud of being involved with, please come along, even if you arent going to the game

There are lots of Bolton fans signed up, even a group of Blackburn fans are coming over doing the walk then getting lifts from the Reebok to Ewood for their game with QPR
