One of our best performance really couldn’t fault the play or commitment but the glaring failings in front of goal makes us look doomed. Diame and barn door again!!!!
for all the nice football we play, we cannot hit the net, & it is this what will send us down – not the team or manager being crap.
Could be something to do with not signing any decent strikers !! Who would come would be the usual reply and so therefore its a catch 22 situation that will be no different next season come what may !
i think at a lower level we will get more goals as i believe the championship to be more the level of di santo & sammon. however, as i have said in an earlier subject – we are only a couple of decent strikers from being a decent team – not world beaters, just decent. but sadly, decent strikers dont want to come to or we cant afford at wigan.

We have loads of nuggets. Unfortunately most of them post on this site.i’m going to agree with a darksider & say hindley, i kind of agree with your comment. usually the way at wigan – good player comes along & we sell him – always been the case though.
in all my years watching wigan athletic i’ve never been one to have a go at the lads who wear the blue and white but this team is just not good enough for the premier league.we were the better team all afternoon until we scored then we sat back let them come at us,gave the ball away cheaply gave away a soft corner gave away a soft goal. today was a good chance to get out of the bottom three but we are just not good enough. i always thought we would survive but after today we will go down. we have some difficult games comming up but if we can’t beat a poor albion team at home what hope have we got.

25 measly goals is all we have to show for 29 games !! The lowest scoring football team in all of the 4 divisions in fact fuck it I will also include all of the Scottish divisions and The Blue Square Premier !! That is pants utter pants ! The 1 home win almost 7 months ago and the 12 home goals this season have been truly heart warming eh !! :S
