A tasty match on Tuesday night. If Fleetwood beat Wrexham, then they are assured promotion to the Football League. Might venture out, if there are any tickets left. Just for nostalgic reasons, you understand. I know a lot of you don’t like this, but; “how far have we come” since those glory days in the Prem ( Northern Prem ).
Don’t forget Southport could well be in the play offs as well !!That really is an achievement as last season they should have been relegated, but were reprieved when Rushden & Diamonds were expelled from the league.

Always makes me laugh when i hear rentapundits on the radio and TV talking about ‘hotbeds of football’ like the north east and the south coast.The two areas put together couldnt muster the half the clubs in the north west.

I see Chorley are also on a bit of a resurgance in the leagues below the Blue square and could make the play offs in the northern premier league.Always worth a visit to Chorley for a retro football experience and the fans are very passionate-went last season against Chester.
