We just have’nt got a clue when we get into the final 1/3 of the field. There is no width due to the fact both wide players are wrong footed for their respective side and feel more comfortable constantly cutting back in. West Ham were poor today and we was not much better. Kirkland had a shocker as far as I was concerned. He seems to be suffering a major lack of confidence which is having a negative effect on his decision making. We were nearly caught out a couple of times because of his lack of decision making, though he did pull off a couple of good saves.
12 September 2009 at 9:25 pm #8591Kirky was a bit shite on crosses but a few of his saves today was world class, It might be just me but this Gomez is way off being a prem player. but a good, needed win today, diame played very well.
12 September 2009 at 9:42 pm #8593Kirkland was brilliant today, its not his fault the defenders were passing him the ball instead of hoofing it up field. The time we looked like causing problems was from long balls today. Gomez was awful. It wasn’t pretty to watch, infact it was bloody awful but we got 3 points and thats all that matters.
12 September 2009 at 11:03 pm #8600I thought Kirkland was good today apart from the backpasses and I wish he would command his box like he did taking that cross at the end. Gomez for me looks off the pace and I would have taken him off before koumas. Diame showed his quality today, good ball winner and has power to hold onto the ball. N’zogbia for m was also good, beat players but also did his work defensively. All in all a step in the right direction but still could improve, I would like to see us move the ball abit quicker and hopefully no more of the back passes.
