I found this amusing:
Wigan. (verb) To do f**k all for a prolonged period before being saved by temporary brilliance. “I didn’t study mate but I Wiganed the test”
Although watching the gradual change from arrogance to meltdown is more amusing:
Newcastle. (verb) To do f**k all for two generations before suffering from delusions of actually winning something.
NEWCASTLE (verb) Arrogance personified with delusions of grandeur.A bad speaking race who,s staple diet is “the stottie cake” and “broon ale”.A misguided people who actually believe that their “toon” is a hotbed of footballing prowess.A geordie nation :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: who,s language is mainly made up of phrases like “why aye man” and “a divent nah” and who,s offspring are colloqually known as “bairns”.A club who,s trophy cabinet is emptier than Simon Cowells ballbag. ;)
A few things I like about that thread.
The complaints about the referee – it’s funny how blinkered supporters can be (and I include us in that)
The dawning realisation that we were battering them
“Has Fat Ash done a deal with his old pal”?… I thought Whelan hated him
Complaints that NUFC hadn’t set up to counter our style of play – how far have we come (copyrighted phrase) from when we were lining up to counter our opponents (Paul Jewell, Steve Bruce..)
