Against Wolves, rather than trying to inspire the players, this time it will be our job to simply make them want to party.
Our run of results would be taken with pride by Man City, so what we’ve done is nothing short of unbelievable.
All our players, manager and chairman deserve a close to the season as wonderful as we have had.
Get down to DW Stadium for 12.30 Sunday without any fear or nerves, simply to thank the players and party.
We showed last night how much noise Wigan fans can make. Let’s close the season making that much noise outside the DW.
What’s peoples views of a fancy dress?
:) :cheer:  :woohoo: :silly: goodpost8 May 2012 at 4:33 pm #86764What’s peoples views of a fancy dress?I believe that Jordi Gomez is going dressed as a footballer
8 May 2012 at 4:49 pm #86766I think that Whelan will be missing a trick if he doesn’t take advantage of the fact that the home end’s going to be full for once. He should print up 20,000 flyers advertising season tickets for next season. If half were printed on blue paper and half on white, they could be held up en masse at the start of the game to form blue and white stripes; would look great on Match Of The Day.
See this example from the last ever game at Highbury (note the blue block of Latics fans in the bottom right hand corner of the Clock End)
http://ontheterraces.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/highbury2.jpg8 May 2012 at 4:51 pm #86768I thought Jordi Gomez did a pretty good impression of a footballer with that pass to Di Santo at the Emirates.
Then there was the 2nd goal.
Frustrating though he is for his failure to get stuck in, you cannot take it away from him that he created 3 points that night.
8 May 2012 at 4:54 pm #86771For an end of season party atmosphere, players, prizes and food WASC has put together another great party for straight after the Wolves game….Party in the Supporters Club
8 May 2012 at 5:41 pm #86777Gomez has done his bit and stood up like the rest of the squad…
maybe time to give a few of the up and coming players a chance to play on sunday..
or maybe play a full strength team and rip wolves to pieces .. and go for a 5-0 thrashing !!8 May 2012 at 5:57 pm #86783I thought Jordi Gomez did a pretty good impression of a footballer with that pass to Di Santo at the Emirates. Then there was the 2nd goal.

I think you are missing the irony of my post. Regular readers will know I am actually a big fan of Jordi.

Oh, I don’t know – I think his mum was always quite keen
8 May 2012 at 6:07 pm #86790Griff, even Gomez’s mum thought he was S..te for most of the season and so did you…However I am in no position to argue with my rubbish few and verdict of the manager over the course of this season.

But fair play to you for trying to claim that you know what I am thinking, Kreskin.
