This thread is for posting facts about the managerial position (rumours or press speculation not allowed).
I’ll start this off with the ONLY fact I know:
Roberto Martinez has been pictured walking down a street in Miami.
Fact, he left his family whilst on holiday to go for a job interview !
Fact, I would only leave my family whilst on holiday for a job interview if it was a chance of a lifetime job !

So far, the only true fact is the one that 34 posted, ie Roberto is still Wigan Athletic’s manager.

I once left my family for a couple of hours whilst on holiday in Cyprus because of the possibility of a work opportunity. Do you know what came of it? F’ck all, that’s what. But, the Mrs was having a great time with the family and didn’t mind me going away as she was behind me in what I was doing; it would have meant more money, more holidays, and she was all for me sounding them out.
Might be the same for Mr & Mrs Martinez. A nice dinner at The Cliff restaurant when he got back to compensate, and if he doesn’t get the Liverpool job, a pay-rise at Wigan and up goes his reputation.
Incidentally, Garswood’s post was a fact in so much as the picture of Martinez was taken in Miami; it was outside 332 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. Go into Street View on Google Maps.

Well I had to miss an entire holiday but that was to actually do a job but then again I missed my son growing up thru being on the road all the time. :(
