Seems a bizarre way of doing things to me
Last year he spoke to Villa – turned them down on the proviso that DW spends some money buying then developing the training ground, which has still not happened
This time he speaks to Liverpool – turns them down with the proviso DW improves the contracts of his backroom staff and gets a transfer kitty in order to buy 3 or 4 new players
The transfer kitty is very odd as he would only be replacing the 4 who have already left. Any new manager coming in would be given the resources to replace those 4 anyway
Instead of playing this charade each year why doesnt RM point out to DW what he wants and what is required and if his request is not met then by all means go elsewhere.
