Cant be doing with them, and its down to one man,Maurice Lindsay.
Rugby League is on its knees and we have a Belgian cycling bloke chatting shit about `rugby towns`,when will the deluded stop peddling this lie?.We all know Wigan is a football town, yes we have loads of plastic Mancs and Wackers, but Wigan is definately blue n white.

Agree with ya on all of that,I was watching the live darts the other night, the commentator was going on about a player from Nottingham, saying He is a Man Utd and Wigan Warriors fan,now thats what ya call glory hunting of its highest order. :lol:He might aswell go for Barcalona and Spain,He got a easy chance of winning summat then. :woohoo:

been saying this for year’s, but they are too blinkered/ignorant/deluded about the whole issue. In the last few years, they have won every domestic tin pot they can win and yet they still get lower crowds, lower revenues (tv etc), lower sponsorship deal’s, and play second fiddle (we tell them if/if not, they can use our DW) to the smallest team in premier league history.
the most expensive signing by any sports team in wigan history, is by WAFC
the most expensive sale by any sports team in wigan history, is by WAFC
the most globally publicized (outside m62/eastcoast aus) sports team in wigan history, is WAFC
the biggest sport on planet earth is FOOTBALLWE PLAY IT AND ARE IN THE BIGGEST/GLOBAL/MOST WATCHED/MOST ENVIED LEAGUE OFF THAT SPORT!
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN I GIVE YOU – WIGAN ATHLETIC FOOTBALL CLUB.
They can’t compete with the sport we play and the league we are in. the face of sport in wigan changed long ago. let the bitter cherry and $hites reminisce about the 70/80’s. we will look to the future and prosper. leave them to it, sit back and laugh with a glint in your eye.

28 July 2012 at 8:52 pm #9071513,000 last neet Eggy, pisspoor that mate, and all your deluded mates say Wigan is a Rugby town,?..
Rugby League is like Darts and Bingo,a nice game if you are pissed!
29 July 2012 at 4:07 am #90717The crowd was 13975. I presume that Cas failed to bring more than 1k so lets call it 13000 home fans.
The crowd for Latics v Man Utd (arguably the biggest sporting name in the World) was 18115. That leaves approx 13115 home fans which is also presuming that everyone in the Wigan ends were actually Wigan fans and not Utd fans who had managed to get tickets such as the two young lads sat next to me.
I’ve said it 18115 times and will say it another 13975. Both teams average around the same number of home supporters. If teams like Wakefield, Castleford, London, Catalans, Salford etc brought the same size followings as teams like Villa, Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool, Blackburn, City etc etc then I bet the average crowds wouldn’t be too different.

You’re flogging a dead horse, Eggy. I’d leave it if I were you, it’s fast becoming the most boring topic of conversation in Wigan.

He’s not there now – so why carry on disliking them?
Don’t get me wrong I dislike rugby league because I find it has become boring to watch.

“the smallest team in premier league history.”
Have they/you not heard of Wilmbledon in your country?
