Well at the time of postage, we (GB) are 3-1 up against UAE. the atmosphere in wembley is shocking, considering it’s as good as a full house…………………does anyone think that this whole GB football team is a bad idea? I think it’s alreet myself

I’ve now watched 8 of the 16 teams in the tournament, and can honestly say that GB were the team that impressed me least.

Mind you, I’ll be seeing Spain on wednesday before they catch their plane back home. Now that’s a surprise!!

The men’s team just arent bothered…and neither am I

On the other hand, went to see the Women play in cardiff on saturday. 31,000 in the Millennium and a great atmosphere.

Only downer was the prices at the bar. There was a sign saying “no more than 4 pints per customer” I thought this was to do with discouraging people getting drunk – no, it was a warning from the bank manager. £9.20 a pint

Sure you read it right? It was £3.20 at Old Trafford. I thought there were set prices.

Edit> Actually that was for 330ml, but that doesn’t make £9.20 a pint.

Beer and cider £4.60. I thought that was per pint but it was a small bottle. 2 bottles to a pint.

£2 for crisps. They had pies but I was afraid to ask.

Some poor (literally) sod had a tray of 4 pints and couldn’t get them past the steward to take them to his seats. Costly mistake
