It kicked off in the Stoke end because some stewards tried to chuck out some Stoke fans. The police watched as the Stoke fans got stuck into the stewards and then wandered up for a chat. You know what a great job they do when Stoke fans after half time sang what a waste of money to them as they resumed there positions.
Can you imagine that happening at Bolton or Birmingham or in fact most grounds around the country??? WTF do we pay them for, everytime we have any problems they do fook all. Remember Wolves last season what a joke that was :angry:
i honestly think the stewards are responsable for trouble caused at most football matches, i dont know whats gone on but they went in mob handed and ended up getting a slap, its the same when we go away they seem to be looking for trouble at the slightest thing, yes football fans are boisterous but does it warrent going in mob handed at the slightest thing.
It was the fan with the air horn they wanted, personally I don’t see the problem with them. If they are going to throw people out with air horns then they shouldn’t allow drummers into grounds !
On past encounters fil i think because lts the scum called stoke they may have thrown the empty canister, not much chance of throwing a drum, oh and i am not defending the stewards because they are all tossers
The police have to be careful with regards to ‘wading in’. All of that is on CCTV and the police can’t be seen to be kicking the shit out of someone, even if it is a Stoke fan.
From my East Stand vantage point it looked as though the stewards were slightly heavy handed shoving him down the stairs, but he wasn’t going to leave quietly and when he tried to scurry off down a row the steward rightfully grabbed him only to be set upon by several Stoke fans. I expect nothing different from them.
