Well I`m here sat supping some NZ pish that is supposed to be beer & I find myself getting a bit homesick.
Eureka !! I`ll log onto talksport for a bit of comfort. Well ravage my balloon knot, make it bleed like a fresh bullet wound & call me Stacey whilst forcing me to wear (albeit complicitly) a padded brazier.
Wigan’s No 1 supporter Maurice Lindsay is eulogising his love for all things Football. He`s just tried to compare some of Soccers biggest showpieces with tomorrows Warriors v Saints game, even the Old Firm ???
He`s also declared his all time favourite RL player as Ellery Hanley as “Ellery had that little bit extra” :blush:

I e-mailed the show askin them to ask Maurice why he `shafted` Wigan athletic in the early 90s.
Guess what,they didnt ask the bent twat.
I think you are being much too hard on him.
It takes a special kind of man with perhaps a unique skill to alienate both the football and rugby fraternities in this town.
i listened to all the interview and to be fair he didn’t say the old “myth”. which deluded inbreds from scholes keep ramming down our throats, just because they have a coke head village idiot in their team from there.
mentioned football way more than chubster chasing, i sent a question in asking “why did he leave rugby league to join us if he’s such a hardent RL bloke, rat leaving a sinking sport perhaps?”, it didn’t get answered but the interviews 1st minute set the tone when keys said “sorry maurice but who is billy boston?”, they didn’t know they had a play off system (like soccer am didn’t know) and also called it a “schedule filler” on the bbc for when there was nothing else on.
i have a feeling ol’mo was dying to let rip, but if he did they would just choose to completely ignore RL all together across the whole station. It gets about 20 mins coverage in an entire week as it stands, they can’t afford to lose that slot.
quick summary for those who didn’t listen – presenters didn’t know players/play offs etc. made it look/sound like a 3rd rate mickey mouse village game, more interested in wafc and pne also why union was so much bigger all round.
