I’m going. Can’t wait to hear from the locals about how they won the World Cup in 1966…

I won’t be going tonight, I go to all the home matches, but I only go to one or two away games per season,because I can’t afford to go to any more. That said, I will be going on saturday, along with my two sons- we went to sunderland a couple of seasons ago and had a good craic. The sunderland fans were a really good bunch- apart from when we got talking to a bunch of them after the game in town and ended up with them,back in their local (we were pissed of course)… but not so pissed that we didn’t notice that the place seemed to be a shrine to 1973, bob stokoe et al, which, since we all still had latics shirts on, didn’t go down too brilliantly! I have never necked a pint as quick in my life! But they did leave us alone, I think they couldn’t decide if we were hard as nails or just plain stupid for coming into their local! Needless to say, we probably might give that place a swerve on saturday.

If we get a draw tonight I don’t think you’ll get a chance to see us win at the DW. As far as I am aware (open to correction) they did away with replays so it will be straight to extra time and a penalty shoot out win (if Ali is in goal).

Ps Any chance you could use a few full stops and capitals in your posts and maybe throw in the odd sentence i.e. the thing that starts with a capital and ends with a full stop??
