Looking forward to tonights game! Apart from the fact that my nips will be frozen off by the end of course! :(
I’m once again going for Kone 3-1 (Will also cover the 2-0, 2-1 and 1-0).. Think we can definitely grab something today, and I fully believe we WILL take 3 points from this game.
Keep the faith!

admire your optimism pal, but you should bet with your head not your heart…..it’s all about winning money when you bet…………
WAFC 1 v MCFC 3 (20,097) ;)
Fook it, it’s payback time again for that goater w***er…………..WAFC 1 v MCFC 0

I think my genuine belief that we will win the majority of games leads me to feel even worse when we lose! But eh well I can deal with it, better than being negative.
And I completely agree that betting with your head not your heart is clearly the way to bet, but putting Wigan to win (9 times out of 10) pays bigger bucks ;) .. But I have a feeling we will actually win today, I genuinely think that, (Not sure why, just do) so technically I will still be betting with my head :cheer:
Goater = KnobCheese.

Is Caldwell and Ramis defintely out? Anyone else seriously worried about Lopez starting agt the likes of Dzecko (aerial ability) and Tevez/Aguero (speed).
I reckon he might play Jones and the 2 Macs, Stam and Beau with Gomez playing behind Kone?

Gomez behind Kone and who though? Is Maloney out? And if Maloney is fit what does he do with the front 3?
Simple option would be to stick with Gomez behind Kone and get Di Santo back in (Just because it is his position) .. But not really fair to leave Maloney out if he’s fit. Looking forward to seeing what he does.
I can see the front 3 being just that, Gomez, Kone and Di Santo.. Even if Maloney is available.
Unsure what Ramis and Caldwell’s situation is.

If we get a result against these lot with all the injuries, then it will be one of our better results in the premier league……possibly THE best, considering the circumstances!
COME ON WIGAN

I was thinking he might play Kone up front on his own. Assuming Maloney is out and Caldwell and Ramis unfit:
Ali
Boyce, Lopez, Figs,
Stam, Mac 1,Jones, Mac 2, Beau,
Gomez,
KoneI think Gomez will be full of confidence after Sat and is worth a start. I would also strengthen midfield to compensate for Lopez.

I actually think Lopez looked decent when he came on on Saturday.
That’s means if he plays tonight he’ll have a shocker.

I thought he did ok as well but I would fear for him tonight. It might be asking a bit too much of him against that City attack and I would be very worried about set pieces especially if Dzecko plays.

Agreed on Lopez, Saturday. We ain’t been hot on defending our box (set pieces, crosses, etc.) all season, so losing Ramis / bringing in Lopez changes nothing for me.
We’re not expected to win; personally, I would take the game to City (so to speak) and retain Di Santo and Kone up front. J Hart and City defence have been getting the headlines for all the wrong reasons to date …… important we give THEM something to think about. Gomex can always drop a little deeper if he needs to (‘nuisance factor’).
Clichy out tonight, so Kone may get some joy down the right.
Some groin problem that Alcaraz appears to have …!
