Has no-one bought this? Regardless of the fact that there is a very well-written contribution by myself and two very fetching photographs of the same, it is a very well put together book with some excellent photographs of that great run-in to the end of last season.
We’re all very quick to criticise the club, it wold be nice to support them when they do something well.

Ill end up with 3 copies this Christmas.
Had a little flick through the other day. Looks quite good with some good stats in there for the saddos amongst us.
haven’t got it yet but will do. Mate of mine was there yesterday and got two for his kids. Both signed by the team no less.

Are you having a book signing session Griff?
This is the negative in me, but I just cannot bring myself to champion the club for bringing out a book that celebrates us staying up.
Most clubs bring out a dvd or book if they have won a cup or promotion, or something like that.
This is probably sounding very negative and ‘sad-sack ish’, but I would rather us just bring something out when we win or achieve something other than staying up. This, along with that dvd of the 3 ‘big club’ wins, I find it a bit cringeworthy, to be honest.
But that’s just MY take on it. Obviously some folk lap this stuff up, and fair enough, if that’s what floats tour boat.

I know I have my head up my arse sometimes, but not quite that far!!!
Any download for kindle Griff?It isn’t on sale directly from Amazon yet, but you can download the PDF version from Lulu (use the link below) and I have it on good authority that it works pefectly on the Kindle.
By the way, I am talking about my book here, not the Latics book. :blush:

Purchased one yesterday from the DW in Wigan Town Centre yesterday as part of Christmas present for mi Dad. Has a scan through and looks quite good.. Will be buying myself a copy after xmas (Not already purchased myself one as I have a feeling that a MINIMUM of one person will have already got me the book for Christmas, with me being Latics crazy an’ all) :)

The whole point of it is to try and make money for the club.
It was a memorable second half to the season so why not relive it again?
