A disgusting performance by the officials today saw Wigan Athletic lose 3-0 after an off side goal and two nailed on red cards were brushed aside for the top four wannabes.
If any of us showed the incompetency and inconsistency that Alan Wiley and his assistants showed today, we would be sacked. After a blatantly off side opening goal was not given by the linesman we should have known how today was going to go.
This was then coupled with two cases for Spurs players to be sent off, Jermains Defoe’s two footed lunge didn’t even get him a yellow where he should have been sent straight off, Huddlestone also managed twice not to get a second yellow card yet McCarthy got booked for less just 20 seconds after one of the incidents.
The officials today should hang their heads in shame, Wigan Athletic deserved a lot more than to be ripped off by their inadequacies.
