Wigan Athletic make the trip to the Capital in search of their first points at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal though are on top form and will want to keep up their chase for the Premier League crown.

Latics really could do with getting some wins under the belt and a trip to Arsenal is probably not the best place to go to get one.

But Wigan are unpredictable to say the least and I wouldn’t put it beyond them to go and get something to add some much needed points themselves.

Aston Villa is on Wednesday and so injuries is something we would definitely want to stay away from, the Villains are hovering around the drop zone as well and so this match will need all the personnel we have.

We have never got any points from Arsenal away and so it is about time we changed that stat, we will have to hope that Steve Bruce’s harassment of N’Zogbia doesn’t affect his game, and also that the Frenchman can stay clear of Wilshere.

The red card he received at the DW Stadium didn’t hinder us too much as we drilled out a 2-2 draw and a similar scoreline would do nicely for this game, going one better would be sweeter.

Kevin Friend will be the man in the middle and he can’t be any more inept than what we witnessed in the Fulham game.

He has so far officiated in 8 Premier League games, including the loss we had at Blackburn, he was the one that for no explicable reason disallowed N’Zogbia’s goal.

The card count reads as 22 yellow cards and 1 red card from his Premier League games.
