The match between Wigan Athletic and Hull City has been moved to May Bank Holiday Monday to accommodate ESPN Sports televising of the game.
Latics match against 19th placed Hull City could well decide if either team will be staying up or not and this is the sort of appeal that has swayed ESPN to televise the game live on Bank Holiday Monday the 3rd May 2010 with a 13:30 kick off time. That means Latics will have only played 8 home games at the traditional Saturday 3p.m. kick off 8 times this season.
The game should have been played on Saturday the 1st May at 15:00 but has been put back 48 hours or so to accommodate the ESPN viewers who will be looking to see somebody relegated in their penultimate game. Both sides have very tough last fixtures and so it could be a must win for either or both teams.
