From AC Milan to West Brom or Ham

Antonee Robinson, a wanted man

Antonee Robinson was on the brink of his dream move on the 31st January 2020, he was sat in the office at the San Siro ready to sign a deal, but for a glitch in his medical.

The next day the USA International flew back and headed straight for Elland Road to see his teammates record a magnificent win against promotion chasing highflyers Leeds United.

So move forward 4 and a half months, Wigan Athletic and Jedi haven’t played for close on 3 months and already we have speculation that a £10m bid has been muted for the defender.

This if true, is not ideal a couple of days before we start up again, with a very important game against Huddersfield Town.

A win could go a long way to easing our survival hopes and the last thing we want is player’s minds being on something other than their game.

Latics have virtually all its players available for the first time this season, so the break due to Coronavirus has helped us in that aspect. All the players and staff have also tested negative for the virus too, showing we have adhered to the government advise.

Nothing can be done until the transfer window opens, so hopefully the Jedi speculation will just stay as a rumour til then.

In other news, Callum Lang will have a meeting with Paul Cook to see if he will challenge for a place in Wigan’s first team or go out on loan to gain more experience.

If it is decided a loan deal is best for his advancement, Motherwell are waiting on the side lines to take on after enjoying Devante Cole last season.
