There have been mixed reviews regarding the new Wigan Athletic away shirt, I personally think it is great, but anyway it is on sale from next week.

Away and third shirts available next week online and from club shop, club statement reads:

After the recent launch of Wigan Athletic’s 2011-12 home shirt the club announce the launch of its away and third shirts on Tuesday 13th September.

Latics will step out against Crystal Palace that evening in the all-white third strip for their Carling Cup tie at Selhurst Park, having already played in the navy away shirt at the Liberty Stadium against Swansea City last month.

Ben Watson, who originally modelled the away shirt, said:

“There’s always excitement around a new kit being released and this season I think there’s a lot of identity in all three strips.

“People remember kits because their team has been successful wearing them, so hopefully we can create some happy memories in the three we’ll be playing in this season.”

Victor Moses said “The first thing a player wants from a new kit is comfort; if it feels good we feel good and I think that reflects in performances on the pitch.

“Secondly, you want it to look good and I’m sure our third kit will be an instant hit with the fans.”

You can get your hands on the new shirts from the Club Shop in the Galleries on Tuesday and online at www.wiganathletic.com/shop The Club Shop in the Galleries will be open from 8.00am until 6pm on launch day so that you can pick up your new shirt either before work or school, or at the of the day.
