no, i wasn’t too bad then.
used to go in’t supp club after the match. chestnut mild was my favourite in there. i’m about 4 years older than you, by the sounds of it.
i remember being well pis*ed before maine road in the play offs. i was stood drinking bottles of 20-20 waiting for the coach.
i also remember being well pis*ed against pne in 95-96 as well. in’t pagefield.
these days, only go on’t pi*s away at goodison. or anfield, if i go. don’t do it before home games. can’t be arsed.
and yes, it is true that i got served when i was 13. bought half a skol (didn’t know better) and then signalled my mate to come in through the window. we then got pints. By 16, went in every weekend. behaved, kept quiet, had a few pints and played pool. local club sold cans of gold label (10.9%) for 80p. that got me merry. we didn’t act pri*ks, and had respect for people.
people of a certain age should see where i’m coming from. surely others did similar things? don’t get me wrong, we had our times with the cans and cider behind the shops. but got fed up of it.
