The thing is, every now and again; and I agree it is few and far between. You see a flash or spark of pure brilliance from Jordi. He is still very young and I feel he is treated appallingly by our fans. 12mins in when the daft bird four rows back shouted get him off. Just ridiculous. He has potential. If it doesn’t work out with Wigan this season fine. But If we go down Gomez could be a big player in championship for us.
Today I thought McCarthy was very very poor. This lad has not looked the same since all the nonsense of a Chelsea move back in the summer. Sammon also put in a performance that challenges my top spot of Leigh jenkinson against burnley springy park, for worst ever performance in a Wigan shirt.
For the record I’d like to add, I thought Whelan was bang out of order with his comments about Roberto. Keep that type of talk in- house Mr chairman!!!
