There’s a hint of the Steve Davies syndrome coming out here, when he was beating everyone thrown at him back in the 80’s and 90’s. We had people willing the likes of Cliff Thorburn and other overseas players to beat him, just cos he was good and arrogant with it.
We British folk just love winners don’t we? :snooty:
What about taking a leaf out of the yanks book. If they have a winner they put them on the highest pedestal they can find. Doesn’t matter if they are black, white from the north or the south, the more big headed the better, especially in the boxing fraternity.
