I’m not texting that! One typo and she might have me for harassment.

Should have mentioned she’s our HR Director, so extreme care needed.

Not had chance yet G. Have given Pierogi a go.

In Warsaw until the weekend and then off to Poznan – to see if their fans do ‘the City’.

Pierogi were our staple diet when we were there.

Savoury or sweet – we have a supply in our freezer – you can buy them in the Polish shop in Wigan Lane.

There’s even some that have a crust and look a bit pie-like.

No – they are actually pies.

By the way, be careful – the Polish word “pies” means “dog”.

My wife’s grandfather was horrified when they arrived in England and saw “Hot Pies” on sale

I take it they weren’t keen on having a large sausage on a role with mustard and ketchy on top then? B)

          From Matlock to ManU
          What a journey!

On the restaurant menu last night was ‘a huge schnitzel’ closely followed by ‘blood sausage’ and ‘pork knuckle’.

There may have been more amusing food names but by that point I’d already spat my beer out and had to go for a walk so I didn’t look even more childish to a table of confused looking Polish and Ukrainian people.
