In 1999 just a week after an amazing Auto Windscreens Shield Final win over Millwall and a midweek stuffing of Reading 4-1 we entertained Lincoln City at Springfield Park to win for the third time in seven days. Colin Greenall, Andy Liddell and Carl Bradshaw scored in the 3-1 win.

I went to those games :D

I would have only been 9!! God that’s a long time ago! Remember the Millwall one a lot more clearly than I though 11 years would seem :D

That was an awesome end to a season. Shame we were robbed at Maine Rd and denied another trip to Wembley.

The Millwall game was one of the dullest I have seen for 89 minutes untill Rodgers scored

was it only 89 minutes? it felt like 89 hours. George (? – was the tunnel steward at the JJB?) used to have some photos. interesting to see how much we have filled out – there was a group photo somewhere
