Deluded for one reason, Haugaard probably in goals so we are fooked with a capital F.

I was firmly in the ‘Believe’ camp until i saw the shocking team selection yesterday, Barrow needs to play his strongest eleven in the next three cup finals to at least give us a fighting chance of survival!

The hierarchy at the club need to butt out of team affairs….ie Haugaard over Gilks!

      Fuck the EFL

I like your forward thinking. Your forward thinking is what we need. Get behind the team yeah?!

Harry in at Birmingham surely he will keep them up.

          Shocking team selection???

Leaving aside fitness issues that you and I know nothing about I don’t think Barrow got the team selection “shockingly” wrong yesterday. The only surprise was the inclusion of Tunnicliffe who was no worse than anybody else on the day. Perkins for Morsy perhaps, but again Perkins was no worse than anyone else and Morsy has been very average of late, twice being hooked off at half-time in recent games. My only gripe would be Power who has been found out at this level and was poor again yesterday. However, he does cover a lot of ground and gets forward more than any of our other midfield options. Maybe Byrne for him but that’s gambling on an untried player. Obertan was poor but who else do you start with other than a less than 100% fit Powell? Finally, Haugaard’s confidence is obviously shot and should not be starting ahead of Gilks but that’s not Barrow’s fault.

Don’t change a winning team, as the old cliche goes!

I agree. Good cliche that my co-poster! All day.

Well he changed a winning side for the Barnsley game and won again.

For the Brighton game he picked Perkins and Tunnicliffe instead of Morsy and Connelly. If you are referring to the team that finished against Barnsley then it would be Byrne and Colclough who were replaced plus Obertan for Powell.

I’ve already said why he probably didn’t fancy Morsy and Byrne for the Brighton game and believe those changes were made to prevent being overrun in midfield.

Nothing shocking about putting a team out with seven midfielders in it and another four midfielders on the bench and players playing out of position. Not to mention out of form players picked again. With respect Sam you are a glass is half full man but it was a tad shocking to me.

I take it maths isn’t your strong point so you’ll have to name the seven midfield players who started yesterday.

Which players were out of position?

Who is in currently in form, Powell excepted?

Well the four who were not midfielders were Haugard, Warnock, Burn and Buxton. The other Sevens favoured positions are midfield.
This puts Overhyped and Hanson out of position.
Power has been out of form all season and Haugard well that speaks for itself.

So who would you play up front instead of Obertan?
Who you you play at right back instead of Hanson?
Power isn’t out of form he’s just not good enough at this level but I don’t think there is an obvious replacement. And if Barrow has been ordered to play Haugaard how can that be his fault.

Using you logic every game has had players out of position, including the last two which were won, which is hardly surprising given the number of midfield players in the squad, whatever your definition of that might be, and that’s not Barrow’s fault either.

Easy to be a smart arse after the event.
The bottom line is, whoever you play in whatever position, the players at our disposal are not good enough at this level which is why we are where we are and nailed on for relegation.

I wouldn’t blame Barrow either as he has merely temporarily ( Let’s hope so!) inherited this squad but who do you think is to blame for the shambles of a squad that has been assembled? Caldwell in his first ever managerial job? Always going to be a risk in this division and let’s face it any Tom Dick or Harry could have steered us out of League One with the resources that we had! Then came Joyce, another with no proper managerial skills, a man out of his comfort zone ( Man Utd ) and totally bereft of any contingency plans! Add to that combo a chairman who is very much a tyro himself and we had a disaster waiting to happen! I also think that the recruitment team need a mention in this calamitous period the club is going through! ;) Some truly baffling decisions made by the club that have not only left people scratching their heads but have seen us all but relegated…..Again!
