In a victory rated only slightly behind that at Bannockburn, Scotland beat England 5-1 at Wembley.
Going into the match the Scots had been much criticised primarily due to the size of their forward line.
Jackson was 5’10” but Dunn, Gallacher and James were only 5’6″ apiece and outside-left Alan Morton was only a little over 5’4″. As a result of the victory the side became known as the “Wee Wizards”.
