Latics 2 Barnsley 0.
17,435 in attendance.
Latics to be crowned Champions.
A lot of pissed up people around Wigan.
Not quite the same euphoria from the media as with Leicester.

Not wishing to be a party pooper, but I think Barnsley 2-1.
Not that it matters terribly; we just have to finish higher than Knob End next season. If they can finish 11th with 62 points, I’d be really pissed off if we can’t do any better !7 May 2016 at 11:26 pm #148440And Will Grigster scored more than Jammy Vardy; guess that’ll not get a mention either !

There is a distinct lack of interest in the lower leagues by the media… But to be fair our achievement doesn’t quite match Leicesters.
That would be a great crowd if we can get it. Let’s hope the town turn up for this promotion party.
3 – 2 I think, they’ll be up for this game. If we start like we did at Blackpool then it might be different. Barnsley need something from this one so should be a cracker…
8 May 2016 at 2:30 am #148450Only ever hear about all the money clubs make in the Greed League and the Champions, runner up, third and fourth place greed league make. Clubs like Leicester, lovely provincial Leicester, Greed League champions Leicester.
Lovely Leicester who went tits up leaving local and national companies 30 million quid worse off including 5 million to the construction company who built the Walkers Crisp Box stadium.
I know this Leicester are probably a different company than the company that went into admin but what’s the chance of this new lovely Leicester paying back the 30 million, after all what’s 30 million quid when you get all that money.
Still glad they won it and will be if the Dingles or Stoke do it next year.8 May 2016 at 4:17 am #148452And Will Grigster scored more than Jammy Vardy; guess that’ll not get a mention either !To be fair Will has had the opportunity to score in 8 more games than Vardy.
From Matlock to ManU
