15525, of which approx 5,000 were supporting Man City…
The Wigan public love their football, dont they
Shame they don’t love eggchasing quite as much anymore….still care to defend 8,500 2 games from possibly winning the M62 “Grand Final”?

Reliabley informed that that figure was 1000 more than watched a Thugby international between England (m62)and france at Leigh sports village
23 September 2010 at 3:24 pm #47181I’m reliably informed that the visiting numbers for that fixture were less than 50.
I’m also reliably informed that the visiting fans last night were far more than 50.
Face it – it was a $hit crowd that would have been far far worse had your opponents not brought such a huge following.
If you are drawn at home in the next round, you could close the North, West and the South stands, and just split the East stand.

25 September 2010 at 2:14 am #47318I’m reliably informed that a certain club in Wigan has sold *less tickets for a semi-final tomorrow than a 2nd division football club sold for a game on Wednesday night
*no I don’t mean 3,000 which WRLFC have claimed to sell, actual figure is less than 2,000
