No complaints about that. Probably the best match of the season. Still missing a real winger though but overall a big effort from all the lads against a decent hard working Nob End side.

MOTM McDonald.Best of season, I’m not sure. But likenyou say nevertheless, great match and agree about the rest.
18 February 2017 at 9:32 pm #155490First half only Omar and Gilks turned up the ref and linesman were terrible, I’ve just looked at the table and it doesn’t look good, at the end I feared like he’ll they would score and kick us in the nuts. We need wins!!!
18 February 2017 at 9:53 pm #155492I must have watched another game.Yes entertaining as far as huff and puff but we poor as far as quality goes.Midfield create zilch, and how many real chances did we create ?..Why sign Obertan?..Chance to nick 3pts near end and who does he bring on ?..A player to break up play !!.Meanwhile Preston throw on 2 subs before us..Had Burton down for zero points so got to give em credit. We are not making any inroads as far as survival and I cant see anything other than 0 points at Qpr.
18 February 2017 at 10:00 pm #155493Also usual crap set pieces…1st man and all that! ..Crosses into the box dire….not hard to see why we bag so few.
18 February 2017 at 10:09 pm #155495Amazing what two seats can do.
It was absolutely awful. No threat (did we put a shot on target) and the subs were horrendous. MacDonald for Perkins??? Protecting a 0-0 at home with 2 wingers and a striker on the bench.
I normally stand by Managers and players as best I can but this guy is a f****** muppet.

Which is why i was very surprised at the substitutions joyce made. To me it seemed he was content with avoiding defeat, as opposed to trying to go for a win.
Agree though with most. A good game & a throwback to the olden days of derbies. First time i’ve seen bogle & gilkes & was impressed with both.
18 February 2017 at 10:19 pm #155499I thought it was an entertaining cut and thrust Lancashire Derby.Low on chances for both sides but good entertainment. Near the end I agree we could have put on the winger but it was a straight swap. Ronald may have taken a knock.
18 February 2017 at 10:29 pm #155500Totally agree with egg….Joyce frightened to death of going for win and jeopardising his 1 point .As some have stated before his negativity will see us in league 1.I thought we were crap…no threat. Some decent defensive efforts but as an attacking unit ???? Power should have been hooked at half time….and Obertan is obviously a pointless signing. Manager is not for me …been a poor appointment…oh to have had a Warnock!!

Spot on Eggy, just going to write the same about the subs, Joyce is a boring t**t and will take us down!
Fuck the EFL

He told WISH FM on my drive back home, that he goes out to win every game.
18 February 2017 at 10:57 pm #155505More frustration for me donny… We couldn’t pass water today and offered Preston their best chances.
It was entertaining for a nil nil, and atmosphere was great, best all season. But nothing on target to note i think? These last two or three performances bother me as we don’t look composed, it was like watching head tennis at times today.
Ref was shocking today, soft pen for them & two waved away for us. Don’t know what that lines man was watching when Bogle was wrestled to the floor!
Ps, Gilkes is looking better with every game.

Well he is going to have to start soon as time is running out.
18 February 2017 at 11:22 pm #155510As ever at this stage of the season very difficult to say how many points are needed for safety. Peterborough went down with 54 that season when the bottom half was very close.
Unless Rotherham pull off a miracle, I reckon 45 could do it, but must aim for 50 min.
20 points from 14 games even Yootha will realise a draw a game isn’t enough. 5 or 6 wins minimum…can we get these?
qpr – draw
FOREST – win
blackburn – draw
birmingham – draw
BRISTOL C – win
VILLA – lose
newcastle – lose
ipswich – lose – Joyce removed “by mutual consent”
ROTHERHAM – win
BARNSLEY – lose
brighton – lose
CARDIFF – win
reading – draw
LEEDS – drawThat’s another 14 points to give 44. Probably just relegated, but who knows? :woohoo:
18 February 2017 at 11:24 pm #155511You’re not wrong, only 7 homes games left, where’s these season gone!
