Instruct the boys to make a concerted effort to get more than one player into the box when in an advanced state of attack ! Oh and tell your team Captain to put his foot down with that donkey ! ;)
23 October 2010 at 11:39 pm #49189And if you have a player down with an injury that everyone in the ground knows means he’s going to be carried off – have your substitute ready to come on when aforementioned injured player crosses the touchline.
Particularly if the instructions you seem intent on passing on are “he’s a midfielder, so are you, play like you have the whole of your career”. It’s not like we were asking Hugo to play in nets was it?
23 October 2010 at 11:57 pm #49190what about start cleverley, who looked the part when he came on :o ..like to think he’d stay the season with but very much doubt it
24 October 2010 at 1:46 am #49193It was really weired what happened with Macca today. He gets clobbered and the physio gives a cross sign to the bench when he sees him, which to me says “leg broken” They carefully strap him to the stretcher and all the way to the touchline he seems to be almost arguing with the SJA team. When he reaches Bobby I see him mouth “I’m OK” and Bobby tells Momo, who is standing stripped ready to come on to put his tracky top back on. At this point several staff run down the tunnel and I suddenly get the feeling that Macca is going to come running back down from the dressing room any moment and come back on or summut.
2-3 minutes later, Richie Evens comes back from tunnel area and Momo is then told he’s going on.Very, very strange sequence of events. :?: :o
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!26 October 2010 at 5:47 pm #49308MoMo was asked to get ready on the instruction of medical staff who signalled for substitute due to a suspected break. This was because during the assessment on pitch it was thought that he had broke his leg, as the was apparent nerve damage.
further tests suspected ligament damage and not a break; in which macca thought he could continue.
It wasnt martinez’s fault there was delay in bringing on the sub.
26 October 2010 at 6:14 pm #49309How about we leave Martinez (The manager) to do the managerial work and we just let him do his job and stop criticising and looking for reasons to criticise?
