Me and my mate were both saying on the way home that we didn’t feel like going to Wembley after that result tonight. What utter tosh but yet we said it.
I got home have had 3 buttered crumpets and a cup of tea then just thought, hang on a mo here, this is Wigan Athletic, we always do it the hard way.
Lets get the fek down to Wembley get theff hay cup won and prepare to take on Arsenal.
Even a narrow Arsenal defeat and a win on the last day against villa might still be enough.
BELIEVE BOYS AND GIRLS BELIEVE! goodpostFrom Matlock to ManU

You can do it with 3 points if one of Norwich, Sunderland and Newcastle lose 2.
There must be a decent chance that that could happen, but perhaps less around 30% probability
I think you need a point at Arsenal. You have to go there and get something out of it otherwise it makes the last game very pressurised.
Maybe the Chelsea v Spurs game is important. If I were you, I’d be hoping Spurs win so that Arsenal are under pressure when they play you.
Good Luck
8 May 2013 at 2:35 am #112568Yes, this is Wigan Athletic and it wouldn’t surprise me if you were right !
Afterall, there’s nowt to lose on Saturday; just play with freedom, sneak a win ( my prediction is 1-0 with either Gomez or Scharner scoring )against all odds ! Then a resurgent Latics goes on to stay up ! That would be proper Boys Own / Roy of the Rovers Stuff !
8 May 2013 at 2:36 am #112570Fooksake we have run out of steam, face it we dont have the biggest of sqauds, mymate reckons we wont win another game,i disagree with him,but we do looked fooked.
8 May 2013 at 2:37 am #112572I’m all for staying positive but sometimes you just have to accept reality and face up to the facts, unfortunately this season we have come up short and are down.

Why our own town? you having a pop again at fans that know their stuff? Our biggest problem is ourselves this season as we consistently give soft goals away. Fringe players are poor as was on show last night.
Most fans on here want us to stay up but but are realistic. We got away with poor defending against West Brom but not last night.10 May 2013 at 12:11 am #113002Yes, this is Wigan Athletic and it wouldn’t surprise me if you were right !

Because they fear the drop !
10 May 2013 at 4:56 pm #113082I wouldn’t fear the drop no way been through one relegation before donkeys years ago maybe all those who are crying and stamping feet are the fans who haven’t experienced relegation with the mighty tics just a thought like
