And being realistic, if he was any good don’t you think a bigger club than us would have signed him? If he had played really well in Germany then surely a german club would have snapped him up the second his contract expired.
And if his contract expired in December, why did it take someone until January to sign him?

no, just stating the facts. You’ve got to say signing a Ivorian non international released by a german club is a little suspicious. That’s like us signing one of say Everton’s cast offs. Having said that David Unsworth didn’t do too bad. Well he did, but he scored THAT pen!!

His contract expired towards the end of the month, so he was only a free agent for a week or so. The reason no German club came in for him was that had publically expressed his desire to leave Germany on numerous occasions over recent months, and said he wanted to go to England. Barnsley were the other interested club!
He’s only on a contract until the end of the season, so if he proves himself he will win a longer contract, and if he’s sh1te, he goes. Fingers crossed he’ll be a decent signing.
Whatever happens, he still looks better than Amaya.
As I said in one of my previous posts, I’m not writing him off just yet, just saying I don’t think he’ll be a success.

And yeah Standish, I’m sure he will. He’s guaranteed to be better than Hall, Webster, Hagen and the likes. He can kick a ball for starters. (we think)
Gohouri has played a full 90 mins reserve match, the 2nd half of the game at Notts and in that time we’ve conceded NO GOALS whilst he’s been on the pitch.
I think there is potential in him.
Bundesliga is a good league, and the clips on Youtube show him to have some good ability in his locker. I just hope he get’s his head right and concentrates on playing, rather than the bright lights.
I remember years ago, seeing Steve Morgan and Gavin Johnson out in Wigan on a friday night. Bit mad looking back on it. Both played the following day, as well! (They were in what was ‘Czech’s’. ‘flairs’ now?)
