He actually played at Springfield Park in a midweek game in the late 70s. I thought it was against Torquay but after googling him, it looks like it was Reading. He came (ooer) on as a sub and his name was announced over the loudspeakers and I remember puzzled ‘did I hear that right?’ type looks from the crowd :ohmy:

There is also a lad playing for Fulham at the moment called Ashkan Dejagah who the commentators pronounce as “Der Shagger”

One that always makes me chuckle, well three actually, and there’s nothing really remarkable about them individually, but a few years ago, I think it was Middlesbrough, for one game they had a back three of:
