LMB in attacking Maetinez shock
5 February 2012 at 10:09 pm #80577I have to say I was surprised he didn’t play he has been pick of a bad bunch this season.
5 February 2012 at 10:19 pm #80578Cisse was on the bench, only came on because they had an early injury
5 February 2012 at 11:46 pm #80583Cisse was on the bench, only came on because they had an early injurySo lets just keep it about Ba then
We need to win games, I apologise for foolishly believing that when this is the case it may be prudent to get your best players on the pitch, as with rodallega who despite being our best striker by far(even his detractors think hes best of a bad bunch) was only brought into the fray on 61 minutes.
But I’m just one of the 13000 people thinking like that and not a football manager who knows far more and sees a different game than anybody else, including every TV pundit
6 February 2012 at 12:40 am #80593Was talking to someone from the club before KO and they told me that Diame wasn’t starting due to feeling ill that morning. He was consequently put on the bench and apparently was improving as KO approached. If you took notice, the players had been out warming up a good 10-15 mins before Diame came out and then only did some light work.
Bobby was probably hoping that he might be OK to get a 20 to 30 mins out of him, but as the match progressed, he must have thought it best not to risk him. :sick:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!6 February 2012 at 12:56 am #80596How am I not surprised by that post.
Now the lightsiders discuss tactics and selection “with someone from the club before KO” and they told you “Diame wasn’t starting due to feeling ill that morning” I assume that same person then rushed to tell you Diame “apparently was improving as KO approached” just so you could post it on here if one of those nasty darksiders dared to question why he didnt play.
If you hurry up nominations for this years Whitbread prize are still open.

Blah dee f**ing blah.
You think you know better that the people who run the football club?
I’m sure Martinez sits there prior to kick-of thinking, “I’ll tell you what, Diame’s raring to go but I’ll not play him because everybody expects I should play him so I’ll deliberately piss everybody off and not play him.6 February 2012 at 1:36 am #80604I can think of a lot of footballing personnel who are out of work at this moment who would know better re running this football club !

No matter how bad you think Martinez is and how strange the decision seems to be, I don’t for one minute think he deliberately leaves out a player for the sake of it and for no good reason.

Read my above post.6 February 2012 at 1:48 am #80611I agree Sammy I’m sure MoMo would have been picked if he was 100%.

Oh he will have his reasons. The trouble is his reasons tend to raise eyebrows !
6 February 2012 at 1:53 am #80613If Roberto is so in touch with the fans etc etc then why doesn’t he just let us know in some way why Diame wasn’t playing? It’s no big deal, just a simple word or two as to why our best player was missing.
