A fairly straightforward win for us. We never really had to leave 3rd gear, and won 3 nil with 3 forwards scoring. Another clean sheet. Brilliant.
Expected Shrewsbury to win, so Rochdale beating them is fantastic. They were attacking like mad in injury time, and are moaning they should have had a penalty. The ref seemingly gave it, then changed his mind and gave a corner. They sent their keeper up for it, and Rochdale cleared it and broke away to score a third! Happy days. Cheers Dale.
To add to the Shrews misery, they had Tsiala, a fixture in their side all season, stretchered off. They face 6 league games in April and the Checkatrade final as well. With a growing list of suspensions and injuries, I think it will take its toll.
We just have to do our own thing and we will be there. Brilliant. You know your having a good season when you can’t wait for the next game! I’d actually take a point at Pompey, but I do think we can win.
Light at the end of the tunnel after that Shrewsbury debacle today but still a lot to play for up the Tics.
And let’s hope we stay there….
To take full advantage of that Shrewsbury result we need 3 points on Monday.
That is the most relaxing second half I can remember for ages.Said exactly the same thing to my mate. Just what we wanted with the Pompy game coming up in a few days. Today Pompy will be running their bollux off at Walsall whilst our lads will be relaxing in a Jacuzzi and playing golf.
