Agreed, & after his error for Spurs 1st goal last Tuesday night, he looked pretty solid defensively too

Looks like we need to have more bodies in the box to get on the end of his crosses.
Seemed decent enough.

Miles better than Jones in that position, but I thought he looked better going forward rather than defending.

Sammon’s more of an old fashioned striker than the other two and Moses, and he tends not to wander out onto the wings or drop back looking for the ball. Despite his faults, Sammon makes some good runs and get into the right positions.
Now, what he’d have done with the ball had it got to him is another matter entirely…

I’m sure Jason Roberts would have been worth a punt, but perhaps his wages would have been too much for us.
I think you are right horc about Roberts he would have wanted at least a two year contract at his age on wages we couldn’t afford i guess as for phillips would he still cut it in this league at his age as WBA didn’t play him to often last season
to find a proven goalscorer would cost money we cant afford i’m afraid but we should do if we go down to the championship
Unfortunately with the mind numbing boring way we play even the most prolific of strikers would struggle to get to double figures.
I don’t think Roberts or Phillips would be sharp enough for the prem, Sammon seems to be getting the chances but seems to have forgotten how to score goals.
