Big Dave keeps chirping on that RM is one of the best young managers in Europe, but for goodness sake how can he possibly be right when our manager thinks –
Sharner is a mid fielder
JS is a prem footballer
JG ditto
this goalie is any good
gets bullied (allegedly) by Melchiott
plays sideways
constantly quotes stats – yesterday we had 65% of possession – means nothing when the final score is 2 – 2
quotes next level every second sentence

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
5 May 2010 at 2:02 am #31895Got to blame someone for that leather wallet marketing scam
made me chuckle anyway !!5 May 2010 at 2:55 am #31899Maybe it’s because RM is the first latics manager to get victories against 3 of the big four(in the same season btw), including the champions, who knows.
5 May 2010 at 8:08 am #31904maybe ‘big dave’ has his eye on a big compensation payout, should any team be daft enough to take on bobby. Bit like touting our best players for sale all the time, only this time its the manager.

To quote “including the champions” Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with your lack of confidence as I also think we will get beat. The big 4 side we didnt beat incidently hammered us 10-0 over the 2 fixtures and funnily enough the possible new top 4 side beat us 12-1 over the 2 fixtures. Now thats a first for a latics manager in the Prem as well !! Two sides John, two sides !! ;)5 May 2010 at 8:26 pm #31996Big Dave keeps chirping on that RM is one of the best young managers in Europe, but for goodness sake how can he possibly be right when our manager thinks –

James. A word of advice….If you are going to pull someone up on their spelling, dont make a spelling mistake yourself in the very sentence you are pointing it out !!5 May 2010 at 8:47 pm #32003Big Dave keeps chirping on that RM is one of the best young managers in Europe, but for goodness sake how can he possibly be right when our manager thinks –

Typo rather than a spelling mistake to be fair though :)

I’m sure Bob is well aware of our failings this season and I reckon that all the players you mention will be nowhere near next season’s first eleven or even the club for that matter.
And possession is good , but we just need the killer instinct to finish off the chances when they arise. 65% of possession and some top striker banging them in sounds good to me. :D
6 May 2010 at 9:03 pm #32180How many managerial greats stepped into the job as the finished article, as opposed to learning and improving each season?
IMO Martinez has been rightfully criticised for some of his mistakes, including putting Stojkovic between the posts on Monday, but he has achieved Latics pre-season goal of staying in the Premiership.
Now we’ll see how the club progresses under his management.
