Sell him,he was in the team playing as good as ever then we got rid of him Brown is the type of player we need at our club passionate and not afraid to mix it sadly missed
7 December 2009 at 4:45 pm #14714So right.
Current team haven’t a set o’ balls between them.
Brown (or Cattermole) would not have lasted in the 9-1 at Spurs. Do you know why?
Because they have pride in their own reputation. To lose so heavy would have HURT them. Our current side? There wasn’t ONE booking.
Don’t like picking on individuals, but ALL the defence is sh*t, Thomas is out of his depth-totally. Scotland just has me thinking of ‘Chocolate Orange’s’, and I think he has one (or 3) at half-time, the useless, pineapple-headed, gimp. I honestly believe that there are fans who couldn’t do any worse than him, seriously. He is turd. With a capital ‘T’.
Our number one goalkeeper is about as mobile as C3PO from Star Wars, his understudy is almost a pensioner, and to top it all off, we have a load of players at the club, Kapo, De Ridder, Bouazan, and such like, who contribute nothing and are pinching a wage. Get them ‘toe’d’ out of the club, with a steel toecap up their backsides, FFS!Chris Kirkland & Jason Scotland.

Talk about go with the flow ,few weeks ago you were praising Thomas
7 December 2009 at 4:51 pm #14718Looked good, first couple of games.
Now looks WELL out of his depth. Gives the ball away to easily.

I, along with many others, sincerely hope you’ll have to eat those words.
7 December 2009 at 5:51 pm #14738your not keen on scotland then?
7 December 2009 at 8:07 pm #14761In full agreement with you Papa, this guy whilst not the most skilful, was the experienced heart of our midfield, and would have been the ideal tutor for Diame and Thomas.
7 December 2009 at 10:10 pm #14771Brown why did we ???????????????
Simple, his (rumoured) wages of 30k per week.

Better than paying somebody 20k who aren’t as commited, passionate or possibly even as good and influential to have in the side ;)

Unless, of course, the lad wanted to leave anyway.
We need StandishWalker’s input – he is the expert on all things Pompey.

Did Brown want to leave though? And was there even rumours of him wanting to leave? We never put up fight to keep anyone so I doubt it was him crafting the move. Check it out now
7 December 2009 at 10:24 pm #14777Longer contract.
Similar wages.(maybe better)
First team place.
South coast.
Backhander ;)All makes sense to me.

Only makes sense to you though nobody else. He didn’t SAY that he wanted a move so you cannot assume that he did. And 1 million quid? Surely we could have got more OR done without a million quid

Makes sense to me too. :?
What doesn’t make sense is you seeming to think that playersclubs make public their reasons for transfers. ;)
7 December 2009 at 10:34 pm #14780FFS Browns legs were well and truley gone by the time he feked off to Pompey. HT is twice the player already and can actually pass the ball something that Brown has never been able to do. Apparently browny was a moaning barsteward also, who questioned why they had to eat pasta, why they had to train on a Monday, why, why piggin why
If someone can be ars_ed, check the number of crucial passes Browney made during his time with us, you may just find it was less than 2. :o
I suggest we all campaign to get him, Andy Liddell and Kevin Kilbane back!!
For the record here’s my two predictions:-
1) Michael Brown will be suspended for at least 6 games before the end of the season.
2) Michael Brown will NOT stop pompey from being relegated.
From Matlock to ManU
