I’m not actually defending Hutchings, I’m just saying if Laws had started as well as him, we would be more worried now.
18 March 2010 at 10:50 am #26938It looks like there’s trouble in the camp, Sky Sports report that Burnley are looking to replace Laws already as results haven’t been acceptable, the fans don’t seem to like him either, reading comments under the story, all good for us hopefully.Whereas our manager has the 100% backing of all the fans, doesn’t he?

Considering the 2 games after, a draw is not acceptable. You hit it bang on, mate.
In all honesty, we HAVE to get 3 points on Saturday. If we have one of our monumental cock-up days, and come out with nothing, or even a draw, considering the following two games, away at City and Fulham (within 5 days!) it probably won’t be enough.
And then looking at the remaining games, you would then put paramount importance on beating Portsmouth and Hull. But if we can’t beat Burnley, why should we beat them? There’s West Ham away, but you can just see them beating us. And out of the other teams, Arsenal, and Chelsea, you really cannot see anything from those games.
In my opinion, never has it been so important that we win a home game (V Burnley) since the day we got promoted to the Premiership. Make no mistake about that. Slip up here, and it will get that way where we are relying on other teams to slip up. There are, realistically, NINE points within our grasp. Take them, we should be fine. But there is no margin for error, now.
