Last week Football League announced that final day fixtures in the Championship were to be brought forward from Sunday 8th May (3pm) to Saturday 7th May 2011 (12.45pm).
Welcome to what the fans of the the three that come up will have to face on a weekly basis. Sky/TV in general trump the match going fan in the eyes of the football authorities.
How many fans will have already booked hotels, travel or made some sort of arrangements only for them to be scuppered.

I said years ago that SKY will ruin the game. Actually, my dad said it first. Neither of us have ever had SKY….basically because we detest what they’ve done to the game.
I was walking through the Grand Arcade last year, and some SKY salesman grabbed me and started his sales patter “we can give you this….we can give you that”, I said to him “I wouldn’t have it, even if it was free, because SKY has absolutely ruined football, and I hate them for it”.
I walked away, leaving the guy open mouthed.

We had 2000 fans down there for the MAY weekend, the weather was scorching, football on the beach, and beer was flowing.
