I went to the stadium yesterday to see if i could change my seats for the final as i have a few mates going and we want to sit together – was told that the £65 tickets sold out bar the odd seat.
On the way back to my car i was approached by a City fan asking me to buy him 2 tickets for the final as the club would not sell to him – bet you could guess my response

3 May 2013 at 4:08 pm #111999Them City fans will do almost anything to get there hands on final tickets. Reading on one of their forums that one fan bought two tickets for £800 which included coach travel & free bar on said coach!!!

Recession? what recession!wish i’d have thought then ;) haha never mind – looking forward to the lads lifting the FA cup and then open top bus haha
3 May 2013 at 5:43 pm #112006I think I would have to be offered a lot to sell to a City fan. We are pretty close to selling out, and i’d rather have an empty seat next to me than a City fan.

City have sold out,and if it wasn’t for City fans buying up all the £115 tickets there would be huge gaps in your end[/quote]
The £115 tickets were virtually sold out before they went on sale to ST holders. They were sold to corporate members and players. Peculiarly a new block of £115 tickets went on sale today.
We have sold out two categories of tickets, and we had sold out a third before we received some more. We are somewhere around 22,000. Not sure where this idea of huge gaps has come from. How many City fans have managed to get Wigan tickets? Less than 200 i’d wager.

Recession? what recession!Wish I’d known that before I turned down the opportunity to buy a load of tickets in the neutral bit yesterday!!!!
