Has anyone noticed that ‘rent a quote’ whelan has been conspicuous by his absence on sky sports or in the papers recently,he even cancelled his book signing.
Not a week normally goes by without him expressing his ego fueled opinons in some form of media,does anyone think that this may be the calm before the storm,and an attack on us and lack of support from the townsfolk of wigan is about to be unleashed as a result of rumblings of dissent at the goings on at wigan athletic.i know lets steel hundreds of his books build them up in a pile and burn the fookers in the town centre ,now thats what i call entertainment

i always used to think sky sports news had a permanent link to his home in barbados just so the could get a “whelan quote” every now and then.:oops:Correct I of course meant South Stand…..
i used to sit behind the goals in the south stand about 10 rows from the front.
a couple of fishing tics who knew jimmy also got told the tale from other people who where there that night,another fishing mate of mine who only watches us every now and again used to mate about with bullard and he has loads of tales of the goings on at the latics/football in general,he went staying with him at easter and at that time he thought that he would never play football again
