How does writing off £47m constitute making money???
Too many on this site are too thick to merit discussing with.
And too many are blinkered and up their own and Whelan’s arses to merit it.

I think you are thick for not seeing that Whelan is a leech and would see you burn over a fiver. He doesn’t care about Wigan. Just his money. Writing off a debt my arse. You believe it because he says it. It’s the fans who have paid it off not him. We have put the money into his pocket and he has sold our players without replacing them. He owes us about 100m i reckon in false promises and warchests e.t.c. If the thick people keep lining his pocket he will carry on doing it. He has creamed well over 200m since the prem years and never re-invested it in the team.

Isn’t that part of being a chairman. They are his employees. If he was never prepared to make a go of it he should have left us alone rather than use us as a guinea pig to boost his wealth.
Dave Whelan has done more for this club than any other chairman in any other club.
Many would of sold up and walked away years ago he has stood by the club through lower divisions and gave us the dream.
its the supporters who stay away and have not supported the club that should be blamed for our position at the moment the lost revenue from gate reciepts must be harming Wigan Athletic financially big style.
Dont like Martinez and dont think hes the right man but who is there of any quality that will come to Wigan with no transfer funds and take over.

I cant for the life of me see how DW has boosted his wealth at WAFC as apart from Arsenal who made good profit by adding an extra 20,000 fans every home game due to the Emirates we probably lose thousands of pounds every game. Dave Whelan cannot make the townsfolk support the club he cant stop glory hunters being Utd,Citeh,Everton or Liverpool fans even if they never go. Just because our crowds are vanishing the club still has to pay its dues wages policing etc etc etc. Many lesser people would have got shut a long time ago.
