THIS IS WHAT WE NEED AS I DO BELIVE WE DONT HAVE ONE AT THE CLUBNo we don’t, and that is because we are not an American football team or a rugby club. You don’t tend to get defensive coaches as such in football.
If it’s an ex-defender that we need in, I’d offer David Weir a position in May. He retires at the end of the season, has got his coaching badges, has bags of experience, has been club captain wherever he’s played, his wife and family live in Cheshire, and he has a rare attribute in football, namely, intelligence.
