Maybe it’s a punishment for only drawing at Chelsea in midweek

Disgraceful decision looking in from the outside. Not exactly sure how much more they could have asked for of him.
18 January 2013 at 4:13 pm #100341Steady Nigel gone!Maybe it’s a punishment for only drawing at Chelsea in midweek
They MUST have somebody in mind for the job immediately.. As I wouldn’t have thought he would be one to go!
18 January 2013 at 4:17 pm #100344Mauricio Pochettino already replaced him.
18 January 2013 at 4:18 pm #100345Mauricio Pochettino apparently.

Ex Espanyol boss.. He is also the guy that gave away the penalty for Argentina at the 2002 World Cup that Beckham scored. ;) B)
18 January 2013 at 7:06 pm #100371It is a mental decision, none of us understand it. It’s not like we’re doing badly or(the fans) have ideas above our station. Will probably help you guys and the rest around us but can’t see how it’ll help us at all. Really disappointed to be honest.
As always, all the best for the season.

Whoever made the decision should have to live and die by it and leave the club should they get relegated. That won’t happen of course.

That won’t happen of course. You’re right it should happen….but it won’t. What annoys me is that when I was growing up in the 80’s we were always a “decent” club and treated people well. We don’t anymore and that’s a huge shame, I hope Nige gets a good job and shows us what we’ve missed. Oh well, I quite liked the championship anyway…..

Maybe Griff its coz they played Chelsea and we all know what happens to their successful managers, may have rubbed off a little on the Saints.
Incredibly harsh crazy way to treat the man who got you 2 promotions.
19 January 2013 at 2:34 am #100419Flabbergasted – and a real shame that we no longer have the amazing statistic of 2 ex-players managing in the Prem. Best of luck in your next job Nigel.
The ensuing instability there can only be good for us though…although I’m still hoping Saints stay up.
19 January 2013 at 12:43 pm #100430They won’t go down. QPR, villa and Fulham will.
