Goes down to the wire as expected. Just thankful Rovers lost….resting players too..can’t understand Mowbrays thinking there.Said this loads this season “on another day we could have had 6″….well 2nd half anyway. Our final ball yet again is worse than Sunday football standard and that was most of the team.Byrne was outstanding as was Colclough and thought the introduction of Vaughan and Powell made a huge impact. Why not start with them ???Anyway….1pt will do …won’t be easy but also don’t think Oxford wiill lie down and have their belly tickled at Rovers.Not been that jittery since the relegation decider at Sheffield.!!!
Neither Oxford nor Donny have anything to play for.
For me Roberts had a poor game today unusually.Agree. His touch was very much off. I also agree with others comments about our crosses and set pieces. Shocking.
In my halcyon days as a midfielder who took corners and set pieces, I always tried to get the ball in the area in between the penalty spot and the six yard box. Our balls today were straight into the six yard box and were easy for the keeper. Our corners need to be whipped in with a bit more of an inswinging ‘zip’ as well. They only need the slightest flick off a head, of either side, and it’s a goal.Dunkley had a fifty pence head today as well, I thought. We were very nervy for an hour. I’d have liked to have seen Devante come on instead of Walker. Powell, Massey and Devante wouldve been my subs.
Im surprised he brought walker on instead of massey. And i agree, would have liked to have seen cole on.
Last game it is then, see you all at Donny for the title celebrations, we hope just like Blackpool .
